She approached the unfamiliar door and nervously took the key from her pocket. She took a deep breath, unlocked the door, paused, then opened it. To her horror, she… saw two dead bodies in her field of vision. One young female around mid 20’s sprawled on the couch with a bullet hole straight through her forehead, and the other an older male in the doorway to the kitchen. It looked as though he accidentally wandered into the room at the wrong moment, not knowing his fate was already sealed. His dead gaze was one of horror and disbelieved. The younger woman seemed to have enjoyed a glass of wine, which now spilled across her lap, staining the beautiful white dress she was wearing.
After staring at the scene for what seemed like an eternity, which was only a few seconds, in reality, she tried to decide what to do next. Should she enter the apartment or flee, trying to pretend she never witnessed this grisly scene. She nervously fidgeted with the key while silently cursing the person who gave her the address and access. He really did it now. How was she ever supposed to forget this scene? Why would he be so cruel and send her here, knowing she would forever be haunted. The image of the two dead bodies forever edged into her brain. She had never even seen a dead person let alone two people murdered horrifically.
